Matty Ledgerwood
Matty is the founder and owner of Ledgerwood Home Restoration — he is also the brain behind your project, bringing over 20 years of experience. His eye for detail and design sets LHR apart in terms of high-quality construction. When you call us, Matty is the voice on the other end of the line. His love for carpentry began as a young boy while building his very own two-story treehouse in his parents’ backyard in Wisconsin. Matty graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Maranatha Baptist University and moved to Indiana in 2007. Since his humble tree-house beginnings, his desire to produce enjoyable and creative spaces remains. In his free time, he enjoys watching football and is actively involved in his church.
Michelle Ledgerwood
Michelle handles all that goes on behind the scenes here at Ledgerwood Home Restoration with grace and compassion. From accounting to photography, marketing, web design, payroll, and advertising, her many talents keep the team organized and operating. Michelle was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois, and graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, double-majoring in Human Resources and Information Technology. She moved to Indiana in 2009 when she and Matty married. They have three amazing kiddos: Calin, Charlee, and Camille. In her free time, Michelle enjoys snowboarding, running, and serving in the music ministry at her church.
Kyle Reed
Kyle was born and raised in the great Hoosier state and graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City. While he comes from a farming background, he has been with Ledgerwood Home Restoration since 2015. Kyle is mechanically-minded and constantly looking for ways to make the team more efficient. He is an excellent problem solver and learns new skills easily. His sense of humor and ability to hit all the high notes with Adele bring a fun and positive spirit to the job site. Kyle is extremely dependable and committed to a job well done. He takes great pride in the quality work we perform here at Ledgerwood Home Restoration. He dreams of one day converting a barn into a rustic, yet quality home. Kyle enjoys spending time with his better half, Valerie, and his little boy; and collecting quality tools, quads, and jeeps.
Jay Johnson
Jay has been with Ledgerwood Home Restoration since March 2020. He brings skills and experience in several areas that round out our team. Jay also has a good eye for detail and is organized in his approach—helping our team stay efficient. With his easygoing personality and great sense of humor, Jay brings a spirit of camaraderie and laughter to the job site—he’s an easy guy to like! Jay currently lives in Hagerstown, Indiana with his lovely wife and two adorable girls. In his spare time, he is an assistant coach for his girls’ traveling softball team.
David Urwin
David is one of our youngest employee but definitely our best looking! David joined the Ledgerwood Home Restoration team by working summers through high school. Because he is a fast learner, a good listener, and a good problem solver, he has quickly become a competent carpenter. His no-nonsense approach and strong work ethic make him a valuable part of our team. David enjoys bodybuilding, so we rely on him to move the heavy stuff! David is great with kids. He volunteers in the nursery of his local church, and he took a two-week trip to Yap in the Micronesian Islands to serve the youth ministry there.
Garrett Baumer
Garrett joined Ledgerwood Home Restoration in May of 2021 and is known by the guys on the job site as "G." G is a fabulous carpenter and an even better guy. His quiet approach to life might fool some, but G has a brilliant mind. His ability to grasp concepts and understand problems and solutions is impressive. He is dependable and a true team player. G is always striving to improve his craft and grow his skill set. Polite and kind, he is easy to get along with and a pleasure to be around. G is also a lover of all things outdoors, music, and reading — and his beard is the stuff legends are made of! We couldn’t be happier to have G as part of the LHR family.
Chuck Blevins
Chuck offers a lifetime of experience in quality workmanship, and joined LHR in 2022. Hired for his magic with a drywall knife, he is the secret behind our flat walls and smooth ceilings. He brings an incredible work ethic, a desire for things to be done orderly and right, and a team-first mentality. Chuck is prompt and a man of his word. In addition to his world-class skills, Chuck is a gem of a human. He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet — a true gentleman with the most contagious chuckle you will ever hear! We love him and his cheerful disposition.
